Welcome to Carolina Defensive Tactics
Congratulations on taking the first step in owning your own safety. This website will help you make an informed decision to learn what it takes to WIN during a violent confrontation. Carolina Defensive Tactics consists of concepts, strategies, tactics, and techniques designed for anyone to eliminate the advantage of size and strength when faced with one or more attackers.
From a four hour Rape Prevention course (females only) to a 5 year advanced self defense training program, we will dissect and learn how to use our minds and bodies to develop a CAN WIN attitude during any armed or unarmed violent confrontation.
About the Carolina Defensive Tactics program
It is quite simple, Goal Oriented Training.
Carolina Defensive Tactics is designed to be a 5 year program consisting of 248 classes. Each class will meet once a week for 1 1/2 hours of instruction. Classes will begin every two months keeping groups together as they move through the ranks. The required uniform will be a class T-shirt with pants and shoes of their choice. The reason for the non-traditional attire, it's the real world.
The program begins with basic blocks, kicks, and stances. Once new habits are developed, we will advance to light sparring, weapons, ground fighting, adrenaline stress training, and sensory deprivation fighting all while training for multiple assailants in adverse environments.
Once you have moved through the belts of white, 2nd green, 1st green, 3rd brown, 2nd brown, and first brown, you will then take a final exam that will grant you access to the black belt exam. At each point of training, you will be expected to assist with classes that fall below your rank as well as lead classes to demonstrate your skills as a future instructor.
